SpaceX Falcon 9 Set To Launch Today From KSC Pad 39A
LAUNCH WINDOW IS 6 P.M. TO 8:30 P.M.
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch Thursday from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A carrying the SES-10 communications satellite for SES.
The launch window is 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. EDT. According to the 45th Space Wing, the is a 70 percent chance of acceptable weather to launch.
This is SpaceX’s first opportunity to prove that its rockets can really be reused as the Falcon 9 rocket set for blastoff was recovered from a mission about a year ago.
SpaceX will attempt to land the Falcon 9 first stage on the autonomous spaceport drone ship, Of Course I Still Love You, in the Atlantic Ocean.
