Zillow Trial Program Scam

There is a new scam that just hit Brevard County and my guess is it will or has already spread to other counties and states. Here’s how it goes. A Realtor receives a Text message that says

“You’ve received a new zillow lead for 32940″

Home Buyer: Kelly Sawyer, Price Range $400K – $500K More info: lead1.info/6Ez

Then the link takes you to a website that looks like Zillow but isn’t.

Yes, as a Realtor I do have an account with Zillow so this ‘lead’ should be available in my Zillow account. So I check my Zillow account and no lead.

So here’s where is scam comes in. The website asks to pay a small advertising fee of $10.82. I clicked on the link and it took me to a PayPal page for payment. Again, I have an account with Zillow so if this was legit then Zillow would just charge my account.

A few phone calls to my fellow Realtors indicated they received the same lead. Please don’t fall for this Zillow Trial Program Scam!
